Before You Surrender
Sometimes, a little support can help you keep your cat. We offer resources to help with:

How the Surrender Process Works
Step 1: Submit a Surrender Request:
Tell us about your cat and your situation.
Step 2: We Review Your Information
We assess needs, space, urgency.
Step 3: Intake Appointment
We schedule a safe, low stress intake.
Step 4: Medical & Behavior Evaluation
Your cat receives a full assessment.
Step 5: Foster Placement
Your cat moves into a safe foster home.
Step 6: Adoption
We match your cat with the right family.
What We Ask from You
- Be honest about your cat's behavior
- Provide medical records (if available)
- Bring any medications
- Bring favorite items (blanket, toy, etc.)
- Share your ca's routines and preferences.
- Allow time for intake scheduling
Fees & Donations
Luna's Rescue & Foster Home does not charge for surrenders, rescues, or adoptions. All rescue -related service are provided at no cost, and we never want money to be a barrier to getting a cat the help they need.
We only charge fees for services that involve hands- on work with clients. such as:
- Behavioral support
- Training assistance
- Boarding
- Situational hands-on-help
- Ordering supplies specifically to help a client manage a problem.
These fees cover time, materials, and direct support provided to the client these fees are used to help support the rescue since we don't charge for any other services.
Donations are always appreciated and go directly toward medical care, food, litter, and daily rescue operations- but they are never required.
